  • Medical / Laboratory Technology
    Medical Laboratory Assistants / Technicians are clinical support staff. They perform tests on tissue, blood and body fluids to help doctors and scientists diagnose and treat disease. In addition to preparing specimens and using machines to analyse samples, these technicians set up, clean and maintain laboratory equipment.

  • Prosthetics & Orthotics
    Prosthetist and Orthostist are primarily responsible for the assessment, measurement, design and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices. They work closely with technicians during the fabrication process. The prosthetic patients seen at weekly Amputee Clinics range from paediatrics to geriatrics and were affected by amputations resulting from DM, trauma and osteosarcoma. Orthotic service cover a diverse range of patients - from paediatric to rehabilitation, Scoliosis treatment, polio, cranial moulding helmets and custom seating and wheelchairs. They also provide patient education on the use and care of prostheses and orthoses.

  • Respiratory Therapy
    Respiratory therapists evaluate and treat all types of patients ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people whose lungs are diseased. Respiratory therapists provide temporary relief to patients with chronic asthma or emphysema, and emergency care to patients who were victims of a heart attack, stroke, drowning, or shock. They are experts in airway management and vascular access.

  • Audiology
    Audiologists identify and assess hearing and/or balance disorders, recommending and providing appropriate rehabilitation and management. Audiologists need to be able to communicate with people of all ages, think logically and adopt a scientific approach combined with care.   • Optometry
    Optometrists are professionals who examine eyes, test sight, give advice on visual problems, and prescribe and dispense spectacles or contact lenses. They also recommend other treatments or visual aids where appropriate. Optometrists are trained to recognise eye diseases, referring such cases as necessary and can also use or supply various eye drugs
