8a.m Looks like it's gonna be a busy day. My schedule says I'll be doing some counselling and clinical management all day.9.a.m Nico’s kind of shy but determined. He’s diabetic, and I’ve been counselling him since last week on how he should watch the food he takes to maintain good sugar level.11a.m Uncle Tom is quite a moving story. He tells me about how his life has changed, his way of living, now that he has to deal with cancer. I gave him his set of medication, instructing him on when to take them, how many and how long.12p.m My boss gives me some insights on how I can practice advanced nursing on patient clinical management. Very encouraging. She says in a couple of years or so, I’ll be a good “manager” candidate.1.30p.m Off we go to the new teahouse some two blocks from the away for lunch – can’t wait!2p.m I get a call from Nico’s Mom. She thanks me for my efforts for his son. Now if that isn’t rewarding, I don’t know what else is.3p.m More counselling! This time, it’s for caregivers. They look very interested - after all, it’ll be very helpful so they can do their jobs better.6p.m Finally, off to the hubby and family – the best chill out time after a hard day’s work. |
